Fish and chips were brilliant. Service was brilliant. Also had some good northern gravy. Surprised no cod as is local to us but didn't even notice. Better than back home and we're supposed to be known for fish and chips. We hope to be back soon.

I normally don’t eat fried food as it sometimes doesn’t agree with me. But of course when visiting England, I had to have some fish and chips. I asked some locals where I could find the best in town. They both said St James. And they were right! The fish was delicious and the fried coating was perfect not greasy. If I ever pass through Grimsby again, I’ll be sure to go back to St. James.

Highly recommend. Excellent Haddock & Chips at a fair price compared with many other places. We ate in the restaurant which had condiments on the table. We will definitely return next time in town.
